Oh Johnny Curtis..... You are the creepiest superstar I have ever seen but, so enthralling to watch. Lets step back a little bit into the career of Curtis shall we? Johnny was a contestant on the fourth season of NXT with his Pro being R-Truth. Curtis was a very generic superstar who didn't really stand out, yet he eventually won that season of NXT. With the win he was guaranteed a tag team title shot with R-Truth. He never did receive that title shot, he did however have some odd promos to hype his debut to Smackdown.. Here is the full compilation of said promos.
When he did debut on Smackdown he was squashed right away and did not win any matches. He was then put back on NXT when the show started being less of a competition and more of a the "C" show. Johnny Curtis started teaming with Derrick Bateman for a while, they then started a feud over WWE Diva Maxine. Curtis started showing his creepy style by just being a real douchebag to the Divas on the show plus just doing odd weird things that were pure awesomeness. Derrick, Maxine and Johnny all had some of the best backstage segments in all of WWE.
Now with the new NXT in full force Curtis hasn't been featured all that often. This could be taken one of two ways, first way is they are getting him ready to be featured on national television in the near future or, that they have no idea what to do with him next. Hopefully it is the first option if not then for now he has been a featured player on Santino Marella's internet show, Foreign Exchange, as Santinos possible international co-host, in battle with Yoshi Tatsu. This could lead to an ally in Santino that could help both superstars in the future maybe in the up and coming tag team division perhaps? Johnny "Creepy" Curtis has grown a lot since his debut on NXT almost two years and is finally ready for the main stage. For now though, I'll leave you with this weeks "Foreign Exchange."
Thanks for reading!
Till next time,
Jacob Reyes
